There is no need to be nervous on your first visit!  Here is an explanation of what will happen, so you know what to expect on your first visit with us for Chiropractic care:

A chiropractic assistant or the doctor will bring you to our new patient examination room.  There, you will have an opportunity to watch a video about the importance of spinal health.  When the doctor comes in to see you, a thorough medical history will be taken.  The doctor will then perform a series of orthopedic, neurological and musculoskeletal tests to determine exact problem areas of your spine, arms, and legs.  The doctor may also take x-rays and perform a diagnostic ultrasound for further information on your condition.  The doctor will then discuss a plan of care, and recommend a frequency of treatments.  At this time, you may also be given a referral for other tests, such as an MRI or NCV (nerve conduction velocity) exam.  The doctor may also recommend that you begin working with our physical therapist or massage therapist as well.
